Kajian tindakan ini bertujuan untuk melihat keberkesanan penggunaan peta minda bagi membantu meningkatkan penulisan isi karangan jenis fakta dalam bahasa Melayu murid tahun lima. Responden terdiri daripada tiga puluh lapan orang murid tahun lima dari sebuah sekolah di Selangor. Tinjauan masalah dijalankan bagi mengenal pasti masalah yang dihadapi oleh murid dengan lebih terperinci. Menerusi tinjauan yang dilaksanakan, didapati 90% murid berdepan dengan masalah untuk mengembangkan, menghuraikan dan menyusun isi karangan yang mereka bina. Penyelidik telah menggunakan ujian dan soal selidik sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data kajian. Hasil dapatan kajian dianalisis dan didapati kesemua responden menunjukkan peningkatan dari segi mencari, menyusun dan menghuraikan isi karangan mereka. Ini dibuktikan apabila responden menunjukkan peningkatan gred A sebanyak 30%, gred B sebanyak 60%, gred C sebanyak 10% dan gred D sebanyak 0% selepas Ujian Akhir dilaksanakan. Berdasarkan hasil dapatan yang dijalankan oleh penyelidik, didapati bahawa hasil dapatan dapat menjawab persoalan kajian. Penggunaan peta minda dapat membantu murid menulis karangan jenis fakta dan dapat meningkatkan tahap pencapaian murid-murid dalam penulisan isi karangan bahasa Melayu tahun lima. Kajian yang seterusnya adalah berteraskan kepada pembelajaran penulisan isi karangan menggunakan peta minda yang berwarna bagi menarik minat, merangsang minda dan meningkatkan motivasi murid untuk menguasai kemahiran menulis ini di samping menggalakkan faktor ingatan mereka. Kata kunci untuk kajian ini ialah meningkatkan penulisan isi karangan jenis fakta dan penggunaan peta minda.

This action research aims to see the effectiveness of using mind maps to help improve their writing of the fact table of contents in the Malay language for pupils in five. Respondents were thirty-eight pupils in year five of a school in Selangor. Survey undertaken to identify the problems faced by students in more detail. Through surveys conducted, found 90% of students having difficulty to develop, describe and organize content that they create compositions. Researchers have used tests and questionnaires as the study data collection instruments. Research findings are analyzed and found that all respondents showed an improvement in terms of search, organize, and describe the content of their essays. This is evident when the respondents showed an increase of 30% grade A, grade B of 60%, 10% grade C and D grade of 0% after the Final Test performed. Based on the findings conducted by the researchers, is that the findings can answer the question of the study. Use mind maps can help students write essays of the facts and to raise the performance of pupils in the table of contents of Malay literature in five. The next study is based on learning the writing table of contents using a mind map colored to attract, stimulate the mind and to motivate students to master writing skills in their memory as well as promoting factors.
